EGG BUN/ SPICY EGG MASALA STUFFED BUNS

EGG BUN / SPICY EGG MASALA STUFFED BUNS. This is simple and easy breakfast or snack. In this stuffed bun we can do much variety. This stuffed bun make with simple egg masala. 

Here, I stuffed the bun with egg masala that was sauteed with onions, ginger, garlic, green chilli, pepper, coriander, turmeric, red chilli, garam masala powder and tomato. These Spiced egg masala stuffed buns are so delicious and soft.

These stuffed buns have a light and airy texture and It is good in taste and a perfect homemade snacks for kids. They work great for breakfast, as a lunch box snack or an evening snack.

EGG BUN/  SPICY EGG MASALA STUFFED BUNS

INGREDIENTS

FOR BUN :

YEAST - 1/2 TSP

SUGER - 1/3 TSP

WARM WATER - 1/3 CUP (FOR YEAST ACTIVE)

WHEAT FLOUR - 1 CUP

ALL PURPOSE FLOUR (MAIDA) - 1 CUP

SALT - AS NEEDED

OIL - 1 TBSP

WARM WATER ( FOR DOUGH) - AS NEEDED


FOR STUFFING :

OIL - 3 TBSP

GINGER (FINELY CHOPPED) - 1 TSP

GARLIC (FINELY CHOPPED) - 1 TSP

GREEN CHILLI (FINELY CHOPPED) - 1 TSP

ONION - 2 

RED CHILLI POWDER - 2 TSP

PEPPER POWDER - 1 TSP

CORIANDER POWDER - 1/2 TSP

GARAM MASALA POWDER - 1/2 TSP

TURMERIC POWDER - 1/2 TSP

TOMATO - 1 MEDIUM SIZE

SALT - AS NEEDED

BOILED EGGS - 4 ( CUT IN TO SMALL PIECES)

CORIANDER LEAVES 

EGG BUN/  SPICY EGG MASALA STUFFED BUNS

PREPARATION :

Take a bowl, add yeast, sugar and salt. Then add warm water and stir it well. Close the bowl for 1O min.

∆ Take a large mixing bowl, add wheat flour, all purpose flour (maida), oil, yeast mixture, and enough water.

∆ Mix well with your hand for 10 minutes

to get a soft dough texture.

∆ keep in a warm place covered with a clean towel for at least 1 hour, or until double in size.

PREPARE THE STUFFING : 

Heat a pan, add 3tbsp oil, add ginger, garlic and green chilli, saute well till the raw aroma of ginger and garlic dissipates.

∆ Then add onion and salt. 

∆ Once the mixture is properly sauteed add the spice powders (turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder ) stir till the raw smell of spice is gone on low-medium flame.

∆ Then add tomato and mix well. Add egg and coriander leaves and stir till fragrant. Once done, switch off the stove. 

To Assemble :

After 1 hour, Punch down the dough lightly using your palm and divide the dough and shape it into 10 equal balls.  

∆ Take one of the dough balls and using your rolling pin roll it into a circle. Place 1 tbsp of the egg filling in the centre. Re-shape into a smooth ball. 

∆ Heat enough oil to deep fry the stuffed bun in a heavy bottomed kadai, Fry it in a medium flame until it turns to light golden colour. Don't over cook it, otherwise the outside of bun fried first and the inner dough will not be cooked. When one side is fried you can turned it other side. Fry each batches, once it turned to light golden colour, you can remove from oil.

THE TASTY HOT EGG BUN IS READY TO SERVE.

You can serve it with Mayonnaise or tomato sauce during a snack time.
