CREAMY PAPAYA YOGURT CHUTNEY

ONE OF THE TASTY SIDE DISH OF KERALA. IT GOES WELL WITH ALL TYPES OF RICE.

Creamy papaya yogurt chutney is a delicious indian side dish made with green papaya and a unique combination cocunut and yogurt. Papaya chutney is usually served with boiled rice, ghee rice. Making creamy papaya yogurt chutney recipe is very easy and just takes about 15 - 20 minutes.

Creamy papaya yogurt chutney is a popular dip. It is a tasty dip made from papaya. Other ingredients such as green chilli, garlic cloves, granted cocunut yogurt, curry leaves, mustard seeds, turmeric powder and salt are used to make creamy papaya yogurt chutney.

I followed this recipe from my grandmother. My grandmother used fresh green papaya for making this tasty and delicious chutney.

Today's recipe is very simple way to make creamy papaya yogurt chutney at home and believe me you will totally love it if you try making it once.

INGREDIENTS


Green papaya - 1

Granted cocunut - 1/2 cup

Yogurt - 1/2 cup

Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Garlic cloves - 4 

Green chilli  - 4

Curry leaves  

Water - for boiling papaya

Salt - for taste

PREPERATION


STEP 1


∆ Firstly wash and peel papaya. Then cut them into large pieces.

STEP 2

∆  Then put papaya in to the pressure cooker by adding enough water . The level of water is 2 inch above papaya. Close the lid and cook about 2 whistle.

∆ Open the lid of pressure cooker only after its pressure completely gone.

STEP 3

∆ Drain the water from papaya. No need to take cooked water. 

STEP 4

∆ Take a mixer grinder, add granted cocunut , green chilli , garlic cloves, little bit of a water and salt. Blend well.

∆ Then add cooked papaya. Just crush it.

STEP 5

∆ Heat oil in a separate pan and splutter mustard seeds, curry leaves, and turmeric powder. Add above items and mix well.

STEP 6

∆ After the heat subsides, add yogurt to this mixture and mix well.

CREAMY PAPAYA YOGURT CHUTNEY


Serve with boiled rice or ghee rice.
