HUMMUS - A DELICIOUS CREAMY DIP
This homemade hummus recipe is quick and easy to make, super-smooth and creamy, and tastes so fresh and flavorful.
HUMMUS IS A DELICIOUS SPREAD OR CREAMY DIP MADE WITH CHICKPEAS, TAHINI, LEMON, OLIVE OIL AND GARLIC.
HERE THE CHICKPEAS IS BLENDED WITH GARLIC, LEMON JUICE, TAHINI PASTE AND SALT. THIS MIXTURE GIVES A GOOD FLAVOUR AND DELICIOUS TASTE TO EAT.
Once you assemble your ingredients, you can make this recipe in one easy step! Just add the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, water, garlic, cumin seeds and salt to a high-speed blender, and process until smooth. That’s it ! Then serve with kuboos, roti and fried chicken. It is very tasty and creamy. This is one of the party special dip to make the guest very happy and attractive.

INGREDIENTS
WHITE CHICKPEAS - 400 grm ( Chickpeas are the base for hummus. The softened beans breakdown into a smooth paste. You can use canned or home cooked chickpeas in our recipe.)
TAHINI PASTE - 3 Tbsp
( Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds and it makes the hummus taste incredible. You can buy tahini at the store or you can make it yourself. )
OLIVE OIL - 3 Tbsp
( Olive oil makes the texture of the hummus luxurious. We also add a little drizzle to the top of the swirly hummus when we serve it.)
CUMIN SEEDS - 1/2 Tsp
( 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin adds an extra layer of flavor.)
GARLIC - 4 Cloves
LEMON JUICE - from 1 lemon
WATER - 5 Tbsp
SALT - as needed
FOR BOILING CHICKPEAS
(YOU CAN ALSO USE READYMADE CANNED CHICKPEAS TO MAKE THIS DIP).
Soak and cook the chickpeas :
TAKE CHICKPEAS AND PLACE IT IN A LARGE BOWL. ADD PLENTY OF WATER AND SOAK THE CHICKPEAS OVERNIGHT OR 8 HOURS.
AFTER 8 HOURS WASH THE CHICKPEAS AND PUT IN TO THE PRESSURE COOKER BY ADDING ENOUGH WATER AND PINCH OF SALT. THE LEVEL OF WATER IS 2 INCH ABOVE CHICKPEAS. CLOSE THE LID AND COOK ABOUT 5 WHISTLE.
OPEN THE LID OF PRESSURE COOKER ONLY AFTER ITS PRESSURE COMPLETELY GONE.
DRAIN THE WATER FROM CHICKPEAS. NO NEED TO TAKE COOKED WATER.
How to make hummus
TAKE A MIXER GRINDER ADD THIS COOKED CHICKPEAS, THEN ADD 5 Tbsp OF WATER, 4 GARLIC CLOVES, JUICE OF 1 LEMON, CUMIN SEEDS AND 3 Tbsp OF TAHINI PASTE.
BLEND WELL.
THEN ADD 1 Tbsp OF OLIVE OIL AND ENOUGH SALT.
BLEND THESE INGREDIENTS FINELY UNTIL YOU REACH DESIRED SILKY SMOOTH CONSISTENCY.
TAKE A SERVING BOWL AND THEN TRANSFER THE GRINDED CREAMY DIP FROM THE BLENDER.
BY USING FORK YOU CAN MAKE LINES AND SHAPES. GARNISH WITH OLIVE OIL AND OLIVE SLICES, MINT LEAVES, CHICKPEAS, PAPRIKA POWDER etc.
YOU CAN EAT INSTANTLY BUT TO GET REAL TASTE, KEEP IN REFRIGERATOR FOR ATLEAST 1 HOUR.
THE EASY AND TASTY ARABIAN DIP READY.
YOU CAN SERVE THIS WITH KUBOOS AND ROTI.
